CARE LEVEL: They do not need any extraordinary care, but at the same time it is not something that everyone can keep, especially beginners. It is said to be the best for those who already have some coral keeping experience, as it requires moderate care.

TEMPERATURE: You want to keep it from 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit. It is better if you can keep them stable on the warmer side.

dKH: 8-12 would be perfect, as for most of the corals.

pH: 8.1-8.4 do the best for this particular coral.

SALINITY: 1.023-1.025

VARIETY & TANK REQUIREMENTS

COLORS: Colorwise this coral doesn't have huge variation, there are not a huge bunch of color options of this in the market as you can get for Hammers and Zoas. They are pretty much all green in the center and have posses whitish-cream body and tentacles. But this color combination under good light can catch anyone's eye.

ORIGIN: Most of the time they are aquaculture, but if you are lucky and you get one from the wild then for a matter of fact they come from Australia.

VENOMOUS: No, these corals do not have any sweeper tentacles in them, so they have no way of stinging other corals but they can be stung by them so make sure you put them in a safe spot where they cannot be stung.

PLACEMENT: With these corals, it is normally recommended to keep them at the lower points of your tank, or maybe the middle but the lower end is best.

Whenever they are put up too high in the tank, they tend to shrink, they would not come outs much as they would at the very bottom and you want them to look really big.

CURRENT: Low currents are perfect for these corals because when there is too much current on them, their tentacles will start to shrink up and they will not be able to grab food as easily and therefore would not be able to stay healthy for a long time.

So, they are already low in the tank and at a spot in your tank that doesn't have a lot of currents, that way they will stay huge and beautiful all the time.

TANK SIZE: Tank size doesn't really matter for these corals, you just want to make sure that you keep your calcium up and also make sure that there are plenty of nutrients in the tank for them to eat.

DIET

So, they are photosynthesis for most of their diet, but it is also recommended to directly feed them. Pellets are really good ones to try out. Normally their heads are big enough, you can just drop it right on top of it and they will close over 'em.

They are also seen spot feeding Mysis and shrimps, just crush little frozen cubes on them and they will also grab those. extra feeding them helps them stay healthy and it will help them grow faster.

FRAGGING

They tend to grow right beside each other, kind of like the hammer wood or frog, but the branches are very hard, they are very tough so fragging them will be a problem especially for people with insufficient equipment.

But you can just let that one grow huge in the tank because it is better to have a massive one in your take rather than just a bunch of little frags.
