Bicolor Angelfish Tank Requirments
The Bicolor Angelfish needs a 55-gallon aquarium or bigger, and they could live their entire life in a 55-gallon tank just fine.
Bicolor Angelfish Care
the Bicolor Angelfish care level is moderate, because you need a lot more live rock in your tank, and you need to keep feeding them algae to keep their bright colors. So they need a few extra requirements to keep them.
Are Bicolor Angelfish Friendly
The Bicolor Angelfish temper is semi-aggressive. They can be slightly territorial in the tank. But for the most part, they will not pick on other fish in your aquarium.
They are also reef compatible, with caution, is a bunch of what the website says, and I'm like, oh, I would not risk it. They tend to nipper on coral polyps on Small Polyp Stony (SPS) corals and Zoa's. I've seen way too many people make a mistake and put them into their reef tank, and it just demolishes their corals. So, in my opinion, I do not suggest putting them in a reef tank. With that said, many hobbies have them in reef tanks and have had no problems. Every fish is different, so if you plan to roll the dice and add them to a reef tank, good luck.
Bicolor Angelfish Water Parameters
Bicolor Angelfish will want the temperature between 72-78 degrees, dkh between 8-12, pH between 8.1-8.4 and salinity in the range of 1.0202-1.025.
Bicolor Angelfish Diet
The Bicolor Angelfish is an omnivore. This means they like to feed on algae to keep their bright color but also need high protein. Feed them Frozen Brine Shrimp, Mysis Shrimp, but they will even eat marine flake food and pellet foods. But the only other side fact you need to know is having a bunch of rock in there because this guy's going to be running around the tank biting the Rocks constantly. He's just looking for food and looking for Algae to hit, so if you got an allergy problem, this is a really good fish to get.
Where do Bicolor Angelfish Originate From?
The Bicolor Angelfish can be found in nature around the Fiji area.
