So we'll be taking a look at homemade coral and fish food recipe. Just to take you through on what to have while preparing this is that you need some cubed Mysis shrimp, raw shrimp, some frozen krill, scallops, mussels, frozen bloodworms, frozen silversides, spirulina powder, kent garlic xtreme, Vita-chem, vitamins, Nori, reef roids, ro/di water just to make sure that it's the right consistency and then mix that all up into the food processor. The first thing you're going to do letting all the frozen food out of the packaging papers and also break them up to by cutting them up into small pieces as you get them into the food processor.
So, I'm going to take you through step by step from the very first to the last thing. To begin with, you're going to unpackaged the raw shrimp, take the mussels out of the shells, unpackage the scallops, unpackaged the frozen bloodworms, break out the silversides which you should have already defrosted for about an hour or so, therefore, making them really easy to break up in terms of chunks. Now, all this should be all together in a platter and laid out before you get it into the food processor. Now unpack the frozen krill and place it on the platter as well and lastly pop the Mysis shrimp out of the little containers which should be done very carefully because you don't want a tin foil to get in the mixer. These are pretty easy to prepare and the good thing about all this is that you can really buy some cheap seafood at the grocery store.
The next step is to put everything in the food processor and blend the seafood and put it in a bowl. Then add in the dry ingredients like the Vita-Chem and a little ro/di water followed by the powders which you should take one table spoon of spirulina powder and half a bottle of Kent garlic extreme and add. The next thing that you should add is one tablespoon of reef roids and then add a whole bottle of Vita-Chem and little ro/di water and maybe more if need be and mix it up and defrost it for about an hour which will result to your final product.
The next thing you're going to do is packaging the seafood in Ziploc bags and make sure there is completely no air in the bags after putting the seafood. The bags should also not carry a lot of seafood in them and should also be flat after putting the seafood. After packaging, put them in the freezer and feed the food to the coral and fish and observe the reaction. Buying these ingredients at the supermarket is a great economical way to make your own coral and fish food.
