To keep these fish in captivity, water pH should be between 6.0 and 8.0 and water temperature should range from 73.4 ºF and 80.6ºF. The tank should have dense vegetation and dark substrate. They can be kept in a community aquarium as long as their tankmates are of the same size as them. They should be kept in groups of 5 or more.
