Empire Gudgeon

The Empire Gudgeon is a small freshwater fish species that can grow up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. Empire Gudgeons are egg layers and can be bred in captivity. They require a breeding tank with plenty of hiding spots such as caves or PVC pipes. The breeding tank should also have soft, acidic water with a pH of around 6.5-7.0 and a temperature of around 77-82°F (25-28°C). Females can lay up to 200 eggs, which hatch within a few days. The fry should be fed small, frequent meals of newly hatched brine shrimp or micro worms.

Empire Gudgeons are generally hardy fish and not susceptible to many diseases. However, they can be affected by common freshwater fish diseases such as ich and fin rot. Maintaining good water quality and avoiding overfeeding can help prevent these diseases.
