Pitbull Pleco LDA 25

The Pitbull Pleco LDA 25 is a freshwater fish with the scientific name Parotocinclus, also known as the Dwarf Bulldog Pleco or the Pitbull Pleco due to its small size and stocky appearance.  The Pitbull Pleco has a round body with a flattened belly and a broad head. It grows to an average length of 2.5 inches and is a peaceful fish that can be kept in a small community aquarium with other non-aggressive fish. It is native to the streams and rivers of South America and prefers a well-oxygenated tank with hiding places and a moderate water flow.

The Pitbull Pleco is an herbivorous fish and primarily feeds on algae and plant matter. It can also be fed with sinking pellets, spirulina flakes, and fresh vegetables such as zucchini and cucumber.

When introducing the Pitbull Pleco to a new aquarium, it is important to acclimate it slowly to prevent stress and shock. The fish should be floated in the bag for 15-20 minutes to adjust to the temperature of the tank water. The water in the bag should then be slowly added to the tank over a period of 30-40 minutes.
