The Oman Clownfish body is dark brown and with two white bars and distinctive forked caudal fin, which are dark-colored almost black as a juveniles and will fade to white is they become adults. The midbody bar is narrow and does not extend onto the dorsal fin while the headbar is narrow and usually constricted across the nape. They usually reach lengths up to 5.5 in (14 cm).
