The Aiptasia Eating Filefish is a thin-bodied fish colored in shades of green. These fish have lots of personality and do well in a large fish-only aquarium. They like to have rockwork or gorgonians that they can hide behind when startled and will peer out with a curious eye. It is a shy fish, and rarely aggressive towards other fish except those of its own genus. The Matted Filefish is known to eat Aiptasia anemone in the home aquarium, pick on small invertebrates and normally nips at soft and stony corals as well.
